S&C Home Boarding Terms of Business effective: 07 October 2025
Boarding / Booking Fees
We value your custom and therefore to ensure you are not disappointed when making your booking we take a 20% non-refundable deposit. This is to secure all boarding booking dates and then guarantee your reservation.
Dates will not be confirmed as booked until we receive your deposit, if we have not received the deposit from 72 hours of making the booking, you may lose those dates.
The remaining balance will be required to be settled on or before dropping off your pet.
All boarding fees are charged per day and per night and are inclusive of the day of arrival and day of departure.
Any new dog who has not boarded with us before and will be staying more than 3 nights in the future, is required to stay one night beforehand. This is part of our licence agreement with the Council.
Unfortunately, we will not reimburse fees if the owners return home earlier than the period booked.
In the event of cancellation, we require 7 days’ notice before the start of the boarding, if we are not notified 7 days prior to the boarding commencing, then 100% of the remaining balance will be required.
Vaccinations
We require all dogs to be up to date with their vaccinations. We will require you to photograph evidence of this and send to us via mobile phone or bring this with you to demonstrate that they are up to date for our records, as part of our licencing conditions set out by the Council.
By signing and retuning these Terms of Business, you are agreeing that it is your responsibility to ensure that your dog has had its boosters in time for their stay. Failure to supply evidence of this, will result in your dog being unable to stay and the full cost of the booking will still remain payable.
Flea Treatments
All dogs should be up to date with flea and worm treatments prior to their stay with us, preferably one recommended by your vet, as opposed to over-the-counter products as these are less effective.
Should any parasites or fleas be found on your pet whilst staying with us we will give the necessary treatment and by signing this agreement this gives consent for any additional costs such as treatment to be added to the final bill and to be paid upon collection of the pet.
Dog Castration/Spaying
We prefer all male dogs over 18 months to be castrated and female dogs over the age of 18 months to be spayed If your dog is not castrated or spayed, you must inform S&C Boarding prior to booking. Failure to disclose this information may result in refusal of service. Additionally we will do our very best to prevent any mating, but if an uncastrated male dog or unspayed female dog causes an unplanned mating while in our care, the owners will be held fully liable for any resulting veterinary costs or associated expenses. S&C Home Boarding cannot be held liable for any unplanned mating while in our care,
Bring Your Dog’s Own Food
At S&C Home Boarding, we strive to provide a home-from-home experience for every dog in our care. To maintain your dog’s regular diet and minimize any digestive discomfort, we kindly request that owners supply enough of their dog’s usual food to cover the duration of their stay with us.. Please ensure that food is clearly labelled and portioned according to your dog’s feeding schedule. This helps us maintain consistency and ensures your dog feels comfortable and well-cared for during their time with us.
Health / Wellbeing
The Client agrees to take any necessary measures and precautions to ensure that their pet is continuously free of contagious, infectious, or otherwise transferrable diseases.
The Client agrees to advise S&C Home Boarding immediately of any infectious and/or contagious diseases or conditions their pet has been exposed to or in affected by.
S&C Home Boarding reserve the right to refuse admission until satisfied that the condition is resolved.
S&C Home Boarding cannot be held liable for any illness, injury or death of any animal in their care.
Insurance
S&C Home Boarding has public liability insurance cover in place but would always advise owners to take out individual insurance for their pet.
